Gyldenøhr tok nok en medalje i World Cup

Christian Gyldenøhr er virkelig i siget i Australia!

What an incredible performance by Christian at the first World Cup of the year. He shocked everyone, including himself, with his winning performance in the TT. Then he followed it up with a huge sprint over the field after the winning rider managed a solo breakaway. These results means that he’s tied for first place in the world rankings.

In the road race we had a hectic moment due to a last-minute mechanical 10mins before the start. But Christian kept his cool and went straight into race mode when the gun fired. It was tactical race with lots of surges due to all the corners on The Bend Motorway and a strong wind. With 3 laps to go, an Italian rider took off on a brave solo breakaway. No one was willing to mount a chase so it came down to a bunch finish for 2nd. Christian timed his sprint perfectly and pulled away from the pack with 200m to go, no one could respond and he hit the line with a three-bike length gap over bronze.
